Wirefree alarms for senior citizens and vulnerable people.
As well as functioning as an alarm system our PowerG systems have a host of features which benefit elderly people and people with additional needs and help them to live more independently.
Vulnerable customers have the option of using a wearable panic button. This device can be worn on a cord around their necks or as a wrist watch. The device is waterproof and the batteries last for several years. When the panic button is pressed, a notificationis sent to the mobile phones of the vulnerable person’s designated contacts – for example family members, friends or carers -and/or to the monitoring station. Because PowerG has such extensive range these panic buttons will work even in the garden on a large property.

Making Your Life Safer

If the system is centrally monitored the operator will call the home, keyholders/contacts and the emergency services.
If you choose the self-monitoring option then the designated contacts can be notified through the app.
Power G goes even further. The motion sensors can be set to detect NON movement over a specific time period. Normally motion detectors are designed to detect the movement of an intruder. PowerG sensors can also be programmed to send a notification via the app to the designated contacts if no movement is detected over a specific period.

The system can further notify contacts when the system is armed and disarmed.
An example of this is as follows:
John’s dad has recently returned home after a hospital visit. He is independent but John is concerned. His dad generally goes to bed at around midnight and gets up around 9AM. Each night John receives notification when his dad arms his system before going to bed. He will also receive another notification in the morning when the system is disarmed. During the day John’s dad likes to potter around gardening etc. If no movement is detected by any of the motion sensors for a predetermined period of time, e.g. six hours, John would know something is wrong and can call his father to check on him.

The motion sensors also show the temperature and light level of each room in the home where a sensor is located. In the example above John can keep an eye on the heating levels in his dad’s home to ensure his comfort and safety.
The “front door alarm instant” feature can also provide peace of mind if you have a vulnerable family member who needs supervision but who is capable of leaving the house unsupervised. This feature sends a silent alarm through the app to the vulnerable person’s designated contacts if a door or window is opened while the system is armed. No siren will be activated which may be distressing for vulnerable people who are sensitive to loud sounds.
The systems can be armed and disarmed by the remote fob from any location in the home or garden.
